1.1 York County is interested in seeking sealed bids for transportation and disposal services from qualified firms to provide the necessary labor, equipment, materials, supplies, manpower, vehicles, incidentals and supervision for solid waste materials transportation and disposal services from the York County Transfer Station to an approved and permitted Class Ill Landfill. 1.2 The County is interested in contracting with one qualified professional Contractor who employs skilled professional workers thoroughly trained and experienced inthe necessary crafts required to properly transport and dispose of municipal solid waste products from the Transfer Station using the Contractor's equipment. 1.3 Through this Request York County will be determining interest, credentials, and cost figures from professional service providers with demonstrated experience in the transport and disposal of solid waste materials. Therefore, York County intends that responses to this Request will be used to determine the relative qualifications of various providers to perform the work and tasks specified. It is anticipated that an agreement for professional services will be offered to the bidder who is determined to best meet the needs of the County for services specified in this Request. 1.4 It is anticipated that services will begin on November 1. 2016. This date may change due to any number of circumstances.
