Project overview; The scope of work for the proposed project will include water and sewer improvements along with resurfacing Green Acres Drive in the Mossy Head community of Walton County. The project is located in Sections 22, 27, 28, and 29, of Township 3N, Range 21W. The detailed scope for each portion of the project is as follows: Water System Improvements: The proposed work associated with the water main extension will include the construction of approximately 9,800 LF of 10" PVC water main and associated appurtenances extending service from U.S. Hwy 90 at the entrance of the Mossy Head Elementary School, west across S.R. 285, and finally south across I-10 into the Dixie R.V. Sales Center. The water line extension will also include the installation of approximately 730 LF of 10" FPVC directional bore and 100 LF of 18" jack and bore. Sewer System Improvements: The proposed work associated with the sewer improvements will include the construction of approximately 13,850 LF of 4" force main and associated appurtenances tying the existing package plant located at the Mossy Head Elementary School to the existing package plant at the Dixie R.V. Sales Center. The force main extension will also include the installation of approximately 730 LF of 10" FPVC directional bore and 100 LF of 18" jack and bore. Roadway Resurfacing: The roadway improvements proposed for Green Acres Drive, located at the entrance to the Dixie RV Sales Center, will include the resurfacing of approximately 1600 LF of the 22' wide roadway. The overlay will require a 100 lb/SY SP 9.5 leveling course followed by a 125 lb/SY SP 12.5 cap. Thermoplastic striping will be included and shoulders will require dressing and sodding. All Contractors must be pre-approved to bid on this project. A pre-qualification package is available on the County website at www.co.walton.fl.us and "click" on E Services, Bid Postings and look for the bid name. There will be an attachment for a Pre-Qualification Package. The Pre-Qualification Package must be submitted to this office no later than 4:00PM local time on February 24, 2012. Packages received after that date and time will not be accepted. Your company will be notified by letter and/or email if your company is approved to bid on this project. Cost of drawings will be made available on a CD for a fee of $15 non-refundable, payable to Board of County Commissioners.
