Sealed bids for the Darlington Community Center Roof-Asbestos Removal Project will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "County". Bids will be received until August 21, 2012 no later than 3:00PM local time. Last day to submit any questions in writing will be no later than 12:00Noon on August 2, 2012. Bids will be received at the Office of Central Purchasing, 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Project to be bid upon is described as follows: Complete removal of asbestos-containing roof shingles in the Darlington Community Center, including provisions of all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, insurance and air monitoring. Contractor shall be responsible for transporting asbestos roofing shingles to an approved DEP landfill. Roof is approximately 14,000 sf of asbestos transite shingles. Contractor must hold a current asbestos license through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Contractor shall be responsible for any DEP fees or permits.
