CITY OF NORCROSS, Separate sealed bids for the CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SIDEWALK, INSTALLATION OF HEADER CURB AND OVERLAY PAVING; WINGO STREET SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS will be received by the City of Norcross at Norcross City Hall 65 LAWRENCEVILLE STREET, NORCROSS, GEORGIA 30071until 2:00 PM local time on October 11, 2013. Any bid received after said time and date will not be accepted by the City. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Specifications, and other Contract Documents may be obtained from Moreland Altobelli Associates, Inc., 2211 Beaver Ruin Road, Suite 190, Norcross, Georgia 30071, Phone 770/263-5945. The Work to be completed consists of furnishing all labor, materials, permits, construction operations, details, supervision and coordination of all trades, utility suppliers, inspections and approvals to complete the construction of new header curb, new sidewalk, asphalt overlay paving and other items detailed by the plans and specifications. There will be a Pre-Bid Conference held on Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Norcross City Hall. It is strongly encouraged that all potential Bidders attend this Pre-Bid Meeting. All questions concerning these projects shall be submitted in writing by fax or email to Moreland Altobelli Associates, Inc., 2211 Beaver Ruin Road, Suite 190, Norcross, Georgia 30071, fax 770/263-0166, email to [email protected], no later than Friday, October 4th, 2013 by 5 p.m. The plan fee is $50.00 non-refundable and may be purchased at 2211 Beaver Ruin Road. Plans may be reviewed at Norcross City Hall. If awarded, the Contract will be on a lump sum, fixed price basis. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond payable to the City of Norcross in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid amount. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum, will be required of the successful bidder. These bonds are to be executed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia, and be listed on Department of the Treasury Circular 570. Time is of the essence to the Contract performance. The Scope of Work shall be substantially complete within Ninety (90) workdays from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders will be required to furnish references and evidence satisfactory to the Owner that he and his proposed subcontractors have sufficient means and experience in the types of work called for to assure completion of the Contract in a satisfactory manner. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
