Pavement reconstruction is planned from Ferris Lane to South McCarran Boulevard. The existing roadway has one lane in each direction with an open drainage system and lacks bicycle and pedestrian facilities. The project will include storm drain improvements, curb and gutter and a multi-use path on the south side. Incidental work will involve adjustment of manhole and valve covers, driveway aprons, as necessary, and permanent pavement markings. Installation of a sewer main by means of a Special Assessment District (SAD) was not supported by the public. Upgrades to the Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) infrastructure will precede the RTC project to avoid cutting into the new pavement in the future.
