Sealed bids for timber harvesting will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "County" at: Office of Central Purchasing 176 Montgomery Circle DeFuniak Springs, Fl 32435 Bids will be received until 10;00AM local time on December 3, 2012 and will open immediately thereafter. Project to be bid upon is intended to produce revenue for Walton County and is described as follows: Thinning of approximately 462 acres of planted sand pine, loblolly, and slash lumber located on property adjacent to the County Landfill located on Institution Road in DeFuniak Springs. A Mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 8:00AM on November 14, 2012 at Walton County Central Purchasing Department, 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, Fl. All vendors are to meet at Central Purchasing and will travel to job site together. Bidders must be present at designated start time of the pre-bid conference and must remain until the conference is adjourned. The County will not accept bids from bidders arriving after the designated start time or departing prior to adjournment of the pre-bid conference. Any and all questions shall be submitted to Office of Central Purchasing in writing no later than 12:00Noon on November 19, 2012. Questions received after that date and time will not be answered.
