Project Description & Purpose ? Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) including alternative selection,preliminary engineering, public outreach, agency coordination,environmental analysis, and documentation. ? Conversion of approximately six miles of existing Pyramid Highway (SR 445) from an arterial to a controlled access freeway. ? Development of new controlled access freeway from US 395 to Pyramid Highway with improvements east to Vista Boulevard . ? Project will alleviate current and future c ongestion in Sparks and Spanish Springs, serve future growth areas, and provide additional east/west connectivity.
