Competition for this requirement is restricted to SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.304, the magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Davis-Bacon Act applies to this requirement. The offeror shall obtain any and all licenses or permits needed to perform this work in the State of New York. Requirement: Replace water valves and Backflow Preventers Project Number 528A7-14-763 The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a construction contractor to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, supplies and supervision for the following requirement: The Syracuse VA Medical Center has two incoming domestic water feeds from the City of Syracuse. The valves and backflow preventers associated with the incoming feeds no longer function properly and are in need of replacement. This project will require the removal and replacement of nine valves and two back of varying sizes. Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must be registered at http://www.sam.gov in accordance with CFR 38 Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award. Solicitation will be posted on/about February 7, 2014. A site visit/walk-through will be scheduled on or about one week after the posting of the solicitation for this RFQ.
