The Walton County Planning Department seeks an attorney to join our professional staff. The attorney's primary practice areas are representing and advising the Walton County Planning Department, Code Enforcement Department and other land use staffs regarding land use issues and development applications in Walton County, Florida. The attorney interacts primarily with Planning Department staff and reports to the Planning Division Director. In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, the Land Use Attorney may be responsible for additional duties including researching and preparing opinion memoranda, ordinances and resolutions on a variety of land use issues. 1.1 Qualifications, include, not but limited to: ? Admission to the Florida Bar. ? Five years of land use law experience. ? Statement of firm/individual local availability and degree of accessibility to the County. ? Summarize the firm/individual ability and qualifications to service as land use attorney as described herein.
