This is a PRE-SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY.
The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) NCO 8 intends to solicit quotes for two (2) onsite Medical Physicist for the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System (BPVAHCS). The VA anticipates issuing a solicitation for this requirement on or about July 26, 2013 with a closing date for quotes on or about August 7, 2013. The solicitation will be available for download from http://www.fbo.gov. Interested contractors will be responsible for downloading copies of the solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, and no hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide full information about the requirement and the quote submission process.

The VA will use a best value source selection method under Title 38 U.S.C. 8153, Health Care Resources Sharing Authority and anticipates making a single award, firm fixed price. Base plus one (1) option year award to the quote that offers best value to the government

NAICS Code is 561320. The solicitation will be set-aside 100% for Small Businesses. All responsible sources may submit quotes which shall be considered by the Agency. To be eligible for award, organizations shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base at www.sam.gov. Registration is free and potential offerors are encouraged to register as soon as possible to avoid delays should they be selected for a contract award.
