The Waltham Public Schools seeks proposals for construction with installation a vertical climbing wall and three indoor high elements at each middle school (McDevitt & Kennedy) for a total of two vertical walls and six indoor high elements.    The WalthamPublic School seeks a reputable, company that is a Level 3 or 4 Professional Vendor Member of the ACCT to evaluate our site, present a detailed design and install this challenge course.    The two (2) vertical climbing walls shall be 20'x24' with a minimum of 5 belayed climbing stations that include: ? 2' x 4', 2' x 6" frame construction ? Minimum of 5 ply sub floor grade or better plywood face ? Minimum of one coat of primer paint and two coats of textured finish paint. ? Climbing holds every 1.5 square feet with additional T?nuts every square foot ? A locking mat system (locks included) of 4' wide by 8' high mats that match or closely match the school colors ? One positive climbing wedge and one negative climbing wedge The two sets of three indoor high elements (total of 6 w/ 3 per school) shall consist (or facsimile) of: ? Centipede: The lower section(s) need to be removable.  The element hand and foot holds are to be climbing holds and not staples. ? Giant Swing/Flying Squirrel Combo ? Complete belay systems to be included. ? Appropriate haul systems to suspend the activities allowing space for other programs to operate A pre?bid site visit is scheduled for 10 am Thursday Nov. 8, 2012.  Meet at the McDevitt School 75 Church Street Waltham (corner of Church Street and School Street).   Grant funds for the project are approved and available. Your availability to begin construction and the anticipated time to complete the project must be included in the proposal.                                 The successful vendor is responsible for the complete installation of all equipment in this bid as directed by School Officials. Any information that you think in proprietary must be so labeled and be on a separate document with an explanation as to why it is.
