Const. of Parking Lot Light Pole Bases at Rec Center

The City of Brighton by and thorough its Division of Procurement & Contracts is accepting Bids from qualified firms to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and material as necessary for the Recreation Center Construction and Decommissioning of Parking Lot Light Pole Bases, as stated in the Technical Specifications of the Invitation to Bid. This project includes several phases of construction including the relocation and construction of (20) twenty light pole bases; the decommissioning of (23) twenty-three existing light pole bases; underground boring for conduit; electrical and communications wiring and connections; the installation of new light fixtures on all poles; the installation of cameras on 7 poles; and the painting of existing poles that are to remain in place. The annual Recreation Center maintenance shutdown is from 9/14 – 9/27 and all major construction work needs to be completed during this timeframe when the facility is closed to the public. During this timeframe, City staff and contractors will be working at the site performing various maintenance repairs and many people will continue to use the recreational park areas that surround the Recreation Center building. All of these people will be parking in the parking lot during the construction work.
