This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the Department of Veterans Affairs, Albany-Stratton VAMC, Albany, New York will be posting a solicitation to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform demolition work and removal for: interior block walls, column enclosures, suspended and hard ceilings, electrical, voice and data, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, asbestos abatement of flooring tiles, mastic and pipe lagging, medical gasses, HVAC ductwork, steams radiators and the removal of existing exterior windows. All new work shall be accomplished per the contract drawings and specifications for the Consolidate Labs on 3B Project. Further, work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable standards and regulations as detailed or specified in the Solicitation. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 236220. The small business standard is $33.5 Million. The period of performance is anticipated to be 365 days. The solicitation documents will confirm the period of performance. This is anticipated to be a firm fixed price contract solicited via invitation for bids method. The cost range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the Solicitation.

The period of performance will begin after the pre-construction conference. Award is anticipated prior to the end of fiscal year 2014. The pre-construction conference will be scheduled once award has been made.
