CITY OF WAUWATOSA PURCHASING DEPARTMENT OFFICIAL NOTICE REQUEST FOR BIDS CITY WIDE PAVEMENT MARKING CONTRACT 12-22 PROPOSALS REQUESTED: Formal sealed bid proposals (in DUPLICATE) will be received until 10:00 A.M. August 6, 2012, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read by the Purchasing Coordinator, in the Purchasing office at 7725 West North Avenue, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, 53213. The bids are for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision and incidentals necessary for pavement marking the City of Wauwatosa, all in strict accordance with the Contract Specifications and plans (12-22) dated July 24, 2012 and the official bid form. Copies of the contract documents, including plans and specifications may be obtained at the Purchasing Department Office, (414) 479-8958, 7725 West North Avenue, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, 53123. Requests for specifications out of the local area will be mailed upon receipt of a FedEx number and charged to the recipient's account. Bids shall be addressed to the Purchasing Coordinator, City of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and marked "Bid for Contract 12-22 City Wide Pavement Marking." Women Business Enterprises (WBE) and Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) are encouraged to submit responses to this purchasing solicitation. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the proposed contract amount must be included with all proposals submitted. Bid bond must be issued by a company licensed to do business in the State of Wisconsin and must be countersigned by a resident Wisconsin Agent. Bid pricing must remain firm for a period of 45 days from bid opening. Bidder certifies that his proposal has been made without connection to any other vendor and is, in all respects, fair and without collusion or fraud, and is made with the understanding that no elected official or Wauwatosa City employee has an interest, directly or indirectly, unless otherwise stated. The City of Wauwatosa reserves exclusively to itself, the right to reject any, or all proposals, or to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the City and to waive any or all technicalities or informalities in submitted proposals. No bids, alterations, or modifications to bids shall be allowed after bid opening.
