Charleston County Landfill Fees


A. GENERAL: Solid Waste Disposal Fee to be paid to Charleston County to provide all
labor, material and equipment necessary to receive non-regulated trash generated at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. The contractor shall provide use of landfill space for solid waste disposal of general trash and garbage generated at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center for one (1) base year (January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014) with four (4) option years for renewal. All trash and garbage will be transported from VA by a third party waste hauler via a separate contract between the waste hauler and VA.

D. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES: N/A

D. CONTRACTOR FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES: Contractor shall furnish the landfill space at the Charleston County landfill necessary to accommodate all solid waste generated; approximately 178 dumps of the 40 cubic yard roll of dumpster generated at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. Operations must comply with all VA, federal and/or state regulations and laws pertaining to land fill operations.
