SCOPE OF WORK 2.1 SERVICES FOR ON-SITE AUCTION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: ? Sale of surplus vehicles, heavy equipment and miscellaneous items. There is normally one auction per year with average revenues of $300,000dollars. (Average is based on 3 years) ? Furnish one or more auctioneers qualified to stimulate bidding and obtain maximum bidder participation, one or more clerks qualified to manage all administrative and accounting tasks, and one or more laborers or other personnel to handle logistical problems that may be encountered on the sale day. ? Furnish a mobile public address system with volume adequate for the sale location to facilitate the auctioneer's movement among the sale items rather than bringing the items to the auctioneer. ? Be responsible for any misunderstandings or confusion resulting from the sale of any item. All property must be removed the date of the sale unless prior arrangements are made. ? Perform all clerical tasks, including registration of bidders, recording of successful bids, receipts for payments and accounting for monies collected. The successful proposer must provide the County with complete records of all transactions to include identification of each item sold, the name of the successful bidder, and the sale amount. The successful proposer must separately provide the County with a sales reconciliation to include gross sale proceeds, auction expense and net amount due the County. ? Prepare the media advertising and place ads in at least two (2) County newspapers; prepare and distribute sales brochures.Provide sale fliers for distribution within the County. ? Will be responsible for the collection of payment for all goods sold at the auction.
