Neighborhood Stabilization Program Grant, Construction Projects

Construction services required for the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP)Grant awarded to Fauquier County will be procured through the NSP Rehabilitation Specialist, Fauquier Housing Corporation. Please open the attached two-page document for details on the types of jobs and specialities these projects may require. If you are interested in pre-qualifying for these projects, please complete and return the attached form to the Fauquier Housing Corporation. Fauquier County is soliciting the participation of minority and female-owned businesses, contractors, and suppliers in carrying out this project. Such businesses may be included on appropriate bid and procurement lists by submitting a written request stating the name, address, product or service, and how the firm qualifies as a minority or female-owned business concern. Such requests should accompany the Pre-qualification Form and be submitted as explained below. In carrying out this contract, Fauquier County, its contractors and subcontractors will, to the greatest extent feasible, utilize qualified persons who permanently reside within Fauquier County for employment and training positions. Note: All parties to any construction contract hereby agree to comply with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Public Law 88-352) which provides: that no person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. In addition, in accordance with Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as Amended: No person in the United States shall on the ground of race, color, national origin, or sex be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity funded in whole or in part with funds made available under this title. Any prohibition against discrimination on the basis of age under the Age Discrimination Act of 1975 or with respect to an otherwise qualified handicapped individual as provided in section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 shall also apply to any such program or activity.
