This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the Department of Veterans Affairs, Albany-Stratton VAMC, Albany, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about June 5, 2014 to provide testing facilities, materials, equipment, transportation and qualified competent personnel (Project Monitors, industrial hygienist technicians, and laboratory personnel) to perform quality assurance air monitoring during Asbestos Abatement activities under the project 528A8-10-801 ACM Air Monitoring 3B Lab Consolidation. All services shall be performed in accordance with the latest OSHA standards for Asbestos Abatement monitoring and testing. Any deficiencies in workmanship, materials and/or lack of adherence to OSHA regulations and/or nonconformance to VA specifications noted by the onsite IH technician are to be reported IMMEDIATELY to the VA Medical Center Contracting Officer Representative (COR) where activities are being performed.
This procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 541990. The small business standard is $14.0 M. The cost range is $25,000 to $100,000. The solicitation documents will confirm the period of performance. This is anticipated to be a firm fixed price contract solicited via request for quotation (RFQ) method. Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the Solicitation.
