The Veterans Administration Medical Center located at 830 Chalkstone Ave, Providence, RI intends to release Solicitation VA241-14-R-0148 for electrical services. These services will require the contractor to repair and provide maintenance of electrical outlets, switches, electrical equipment, data drops and terminations, defective wiring and electrical panel boxes and disconnects, transformers, lighting systems, kitchen and medical equipment, emergency generators, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), UPS equipment and systems. Installation of electrical wiring, switchgear, outlets, circuit breaker panels, data drops and terminations, disconnects, lighting fixtures, fans, motors and other medical equipment and devices. The general limit of the specified work area will be located at the VAMC, 830 Chalkstone Ave., Providence, RI 02908 and other properties either owned or leased by the VAMC. The work will entail the described miscellaneous electrical maintenance, repair and installation projects as well 24-hour electrical emergency service call response. This solicitation is a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The applicable NAICS code will be 238210 with an applicable small business size standard of $14.0 Million.

The performance period is for a 1 year period after award with additional option period(s). This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFQ solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203.
