This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY will be posting a solicitation (VA528-14-B-0076) on or about February 21, 2014 to furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to complete work for the project "Replace two 677 ton centrifugal Chillers" at the Stratton Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Project 528A8-12-850 as required by drawings and specifications including all work related to installation the following systems:
" Chillers CH-1 & CH-2
" Pumps P-1 through P-6, P-9, P-9X & P-10
" Heat Exchanger HX -1
" Side-stream Solids Separation Systems SS-2 & SS-3
" Refrigerant gas R-134A leak monitor with zone tubing only on case the chillers utilizing R-134A refrigerant
" Server for the DDC system with sufficient spare points for the future connection of all DDC systems in the hospital
" Electrical work as shown on the drawings
Work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable standards and regulations as detailed or specified in the Solicitation. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 236220. The small business standard is $33.5 Million. The cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the Solicitation. Bid, performance and payment bonding will be required to respond to this solicitation once released. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL Solicitation materials consisting of the Information for Bid Details, Specifications, Drawings and Contract Forms will be available on http://www.fedbizopps.gov in electronic format only. These should be available on or about February 21, 2014.
