Project Description & Purpose • Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) including alternative selection, preliminary engineering, public outreach, agency coordination, environmental analysis, and documentation. • Conversion of approximately six miles of existing Pyramid Highway (SR 445) from an arterial to a controlled access freeway. • Development of new controlled access freeway from US 395 to Pyramid Highway with improvements east to Vista Boulevard. • Project will alleviate current and future congestion in Sparks and Spanish Springs, serve future growth areas, and provide additional east/west connectivity.
