This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 36; Construction and Architect - Engineer Contracts and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding. The Department of Veteran Affairs Service and Distribution Center (VA SDC) intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the construction of OI&T Phase III Offices and Bathrooms within the facility of the VA Services and Distribution Center (SDC), Building 37, located in Hines, Illinois. This project will be completed in accordance with the specifications and drawings provided by the Government. The proposed contract will be set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, the processes for handling the aforementioned will be done in accordance with FAR 19.1405 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside procedures. The NAICS code is 236220. Estimated price range is between $500,000.00 and 1,000,000.00. The IFB will be issued electronically on or after June 5, 2013 (date not definitive) on the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fbo.gov.
