Sealed bids for the Scenic Gulf Drive Western Boardwalk Handrail Retrofit-Rebid will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida, hereafter referred to as "County" at Central Purchasing 176 Montgomery Circle DeFuniak Springs, Fl 32435 Project consists of the retrofitting of three existing handrail sections on the western end of Scenic Gulf Drive with stainless steel cables installed at prescribed spacing. A typical section with further information shall be supplied. No demolition of existing features shall be required. Bids will be accepted until March 14, 2013 no later than 3:00PM local time. Bids received after that date and time will not be accepted. Bidders who are interested in submitting shall submit an original and three (3) copies in a sealed envelope with the bid name marked on the envelope. It is the bidders responsibility to ensure that their bids are received at the address listed above on or before the closing date. A mandatory pre-bid will be held on February 27, 2013 at 9:00AM at the job site. DIRECTIONS: Take 98, turn south on S. Holiday Road. Turn west on Scenic Gulf Drive. Pre-bid will be held in the County owned parking lot on the north side of Scenic Gulf Drive approximately 1/2 mile west of S. Holiday Road. ALL contractors shall be present promptly at 9:00AM and remain until pre-conference is completed. Contractors who come in late may attend, but will not be allowed to submit a bid.
