The  Riverdale  City  Council  invites  interested  law  firms  to  submit  written  proposals  to  provide  City  Attorney services to the City of Riverdale effective January 14, 2013.  As City Attorney, the selected law  firm and individuals representing the firm will be expected to provide a wide range of legal services. The  City Attorney will be selected by the City Council and will work closely with the City Clerk, City Manager  and other City staff.  The City is governed by a Mayor and 4 Council members. Each council member  represents the entire city and are elected at?large, though they hail from one of the four, unofficial  wards  that  divide  the  city.  The  Mayor  and  Council  appoint  a  City  Manager,  who  has  oversight  of  departments with the exception of the Office of the City Clerk.
